| Course abstract | |
| The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary idea and knowledge about higher education, study process and study environment at the university and faculty, helping to successfully start studies, paying special attention to the development of higher education in the world, Latvia and LLU, study program development, study process organization and student life diversity. | |
| Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| Knowledge: the essence, levels and models of higher education and studies; LLU, Technical Faculty and study program development history; content of the study program and expected study results, organization of the study process. (Lectures and practical works, tests).
Skills: is able to apply the knowledge acquired in the course to ensure a successful study process. (Practical works in TF and Fundamental Library). Competence: to apply the knowledge acquired in the course to ensure a successful study process, starting the study program (tests, essays) in the evaluation of the basic principles of the study process. Test with a mark. |
