Course abstract | |
The study course provides an understanding of the innovative application of different materials and textile technologies to design products. By experimenting and developing practical works – tablets, students acquire the knowledge and skills to combine stylistically different elements and techniques into a single product, which is necessary for the development of innovative and sustainable design products. The goal is to supplement and strengthen the acquired theoretical knowledge, developing skills for the application of various textile technologies and materials in product development.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Is familiar with the different textile technologies and the use of non-traditional materials in the creation of the design products.
Being able to apply in practice the theoretical knowledge and the textile technology acquired, in product development. Being able to evaluate and find the most relevant techniques and materials for the development of visually and functionally attractive sustainable products. |

Requirements for awarding credit points
• All practical work has been successfully defended • Lectures have been attended at least 75%
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Develop practical works (visual board) by specific tasks.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
The exam is cumulative, the assessment is made up of the fulfillment of all requirements and the average value of all obtained assessments.
Unexcused attendance below 75% may reduce (up to 2 points) the exam score. Practical work is evaluated on a 10 grade scale based on the following criteria: 1. Idea, creative approach, creativity in experiments with materials and techniques – 2 points. 2. Work culture and quality of work – 2 points. 3. Variety of techniques and materials used: 2 points. 4. Inclusion in the deadlines – 2 points. 5. The conditions of the practical terms of reference are understood – 2 points. Study course is passed if all requirements for obtaining credit points are met. |
