Course abstract
In the course work, it is necessary to choose a furniture product, for which connections must be developed, the choice of materials and fittings must be substantiated and compliance with the requirements of EN standards must be assessed. Product detail and insight into possible manufacturing technology are prepared.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge of wood materials and furniture use furniture constructions and documentary solution of their reflection.

Skills result in a sketch and understandable drawing of a wood product and play to present it in a technically understandable way.
(The visual part of the course work and the corresponding explanatory sections are evaluated)

1 Introduction to course work development. (2 h)
2 Introduction to the technical design of the course paper. (2 hours)
3 Approbation of the chosen product, evaluation. (2 hours)
4 Description of the materials of the selected product and presentation of the justification for the choice of materials. (8h)
5 Development and justification of the chosen product connection solution. (8h)
6 Choice and justification of the furniture of the chosen product. (8h)
7 Preparation of specification on materials and their volume (4 hours)
7 Preparation of detail/drawing of the selected product, display of the number of tolerances (18h)
8 Regulatory environments related to the analysis of selected products and the indication of key issues (8h)
7 Brief description of the possibilities of product manufacturing technologies. (8h)
8 Preparation of conclusions and proposals. (4 hours) 9 Defending the course paper. (8h)
Requirements for awarding credit points
The course work must be successfully defended.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
At the beginning of the semester, the potential product is discussed with each student individually. There is an introductory instruction on the technical and content side of the course work. Further actions are discussed individually with each student, creating guidelines for the development process and helping with any problems that may arise.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
The written side of the course paper is evaluated with a mark and the process of defending the course paper is evaluated with a mark. Both marks form
