Course abstract
Master theses is a complex research of actual themes in forestry including ecosystem, sustainable and commercial aspects of the forest sector, it is an unassisted scientific research. Exact research is scientific if it adds at least some fresh findings and saturates topical elements. This can become apparent in form of unaided analysis and critical evaluation of reference object as well as substantiating new approach to research tasks.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
The elaboration of the master's thesis strengthens the master's student's knowledge about the stages of scientific research work, starting from the choice of the topic and ending with the design and defense of the thesis. Skills are developed to search for and process information, plan and perform experiments, use and apply the most appropriate methods of mathematical processing, interpret the obtained results, develop proposals for their use. As a result, the master student acquires the competence to independently formulate and critically analyze complex scientific and professional problems, to explain and present the results. / 2. predefense.
