Course abstract
Course project examines forest machine choice and principled mechanism for load calculations. The acquired knowledge allows you to select the forest machines and calculations forest machinery.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
After studying the course the student will have:
• Knowledge of the calculation of the loads of machines used in logging.(course project) • Skills for visual and technical assessment of forest techniques, aggregating capabilities,(course project) • Competencies - responsible for advising forest workers on the feasibility and calculation of logging machines in the specific development of felling areas.(course project)
Course Content(Calendar)
1. Selection of felling-felling machines, depending on the conditions of logging.
2. Selection of rolling-tracking machines, depending on the logging conditions.
3. Calculation of productivity for machinery used in the forest.
4. Determination of critical indicators for stability of logging machines.
5. Calculation of force moments by aggregating the transport unit with a hydromanipulator.
6. Calculation of forest trailer loads.
7. Calculation of the force of Vilz in forest works.
8. Calculation of static loads of the timber lifting mechanism.
9. Assessment of dynamic loads by manipulating round timber.
