Course abstract | |
The students acquire knowledge about the essence of quality, its necessity and importance in entrepreneurship, about widespread quality systems and also about quality awards, standardization and conformance evaluation. The students acquaint themselves with the practical application of quality management, frequently used method and its means, and also with the quality costs. | |
Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
Knowledge – students obtain knowledge on the role and evolution of quality, main quality instruments, and the variety of quality systems in the world. Skills – students are able to practically apply the “new” and “old” instruments of quality management to define, analyse, and solve quality problems, calculate quality costs, and participate in tackling quality problems in cooperation with other employees of an enterprise. Competence – students can formulate, describe, and analyse practical problems in the field of quality, collect information and process it to tackle quality problems, and work in quality teams thus contributing to business development. | |
