Course abstract
Study course familiarises with the rules of perspective, its application in fine arts, drawing of simple and more complex object and different techniques. It develops imagination creative thinking in space. The man’s visual aspect, natures in large dimension ( landcape) and in miniature have been studied.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge: At the end of the course the student knows the theory of drawing composition, construction, perspective and volume formation, understands their interrelations and application.
Skills: Can construct and draw spatial settings, apply various drawing techniques. Acquires streaking skills. Gains knowledge and skills in the construction and drawing of cubes, rectangles, spheres, cylinders, cones, prisms, household items, draperies, accessories, footwear and design, human, natural elements, small natural forms, urban and environmental elements. Competences: Students are able to use the knowledge and skills acquired in the course in professional activities and development.

Part time extramural studies:
All topics specified for full time studies are accomplished, but the number of contact hours is one half of the number specified in the calendar
Requirements for awarding credit points
Conducting of works (drawings) in accordance with themes and task requirements. Submitting 80% of semester works (drawings) in person and evidenced by orgals shall be admitted for examination. At the end of the semester, the exam (drawing the setting for 4 h).
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Drawings in specific techniques are made according to the topics, observing the conditions of perspective, construction, volume formation and work design. If necessary, the work started in the lesson is completed independently. Tasks of laboratory work and their degree of complexity may vary according to the level of preparation.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
Evaluates the composition, proportions, light and shadow, spatiality, individual growth of the drawings.
Works (drawings) are evaluated according to the following criteria:
1. compliance with the laws of object construction and perspective;
2. position on the page;
3. light and shadow relationships and shape;
4. tonal relationships;
5. stroke;
6. work culture; 7. growth.
