Course abstract | |
Study subject describes the general parts of Analytical chemistry - Quantitative and Qualitative analysis. Qualitative analysis deal with systematic analysis of cations, the identification reactions of cations and anions. The theoretical basis and practical application of various titrimetric, gravimetric and physical chemical methods of analysis are set out in the Quantitative analysis. Students also will be acquainted with basic principles of food analysis.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge and critical understanding of different qualitative and quantitative determination methods of chemical compounds. Skills to analyze, compare, evaluate and select the most appropriate methods for food analysis, as well as practical experience to prepare solutions, work with a spectrophotometer and pH-meters, be able to make titrimetric and gravimetric analysis. Competence - the ability to independently obtain and analyze information, as well as it use in dealing with the chemical analysis of issues and problems in practical work.
