Course abstract
Candidate for a doctors degree study morphology, nature, growth, feeding, systematization of pathogens of a different animal. Epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, pathologanatomical signs, diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of animal infectious diseases caused by aerobic gram-positive cocci, enterobacteria, aerobic gram-positive rods, sporulating rods, anaerobic and facultative aerobic microorganisms, mycoplasma, rickettsia, chlamydia, pathogenic fungi, RNA and DNA viruses and prions.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Deeper knowledge of the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis, control and prophylaxis of the animal infectious diseases.
Skills to do research in field of animal and zoonotic infectious diseases. Competence to explain the risks of accumulation and spreading of infectious pathogens.
