| Course abstract | |
| Students develop their knowledge and gain advanced experience in raster graphics, develop skills in image editing, animation and retouching, necessary for the creation and presentation of different design works. The aim of the study course is to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in image editing and enhancement using Adobe Photoshop. | |

| Knowledge:
•Understand the Adobe Photoshop workspace and various tools – 1.-2.tests; •Able to justify the choice and necessity of a particular tool, filter, mask or adjustment layer – 1.-2.tests. Skills: •Able to edit images – practical works; •Able to choose the most suitable tools, for the creation of different design works – practical works; Competence: •Able to independently evaluate and choose the most suitable tools, filters, masks or adjustment layers – practical |

| 1.Different free software environments (lecture – 1 h)
2.Adobe Photoshop environment. Working with layers and layer masks (lecture – 1 h, practical works – 2 h). 3.Using filter effects. Adjustment layers. Image editing and retouching (lecture – 1 h, practical works – 4 h). 4.Creating different design works (practical works – 5 h). 5.Animation of the created objects (lecture – 1 h, practical works – 4 h). First test (1 h). 6.Saving images for web and print. Creating and adding brushes to brush's library (lecture – 1 h, practical works – 4 h) 7.Creating different design works (practical works – 6 h). 8.Using Actions in design work (lecture – 1 h, practical works – 4 h). 9.Correcting actions. Creating a cycle of actions, using JavaScript (practical works – 3 h). Second tests (1 h). |
