| The course includes information about the PC hardware and software, as well as the information technology sector in Latvian and in the world. Students acquire theoretical knowledge of computer hardware and uses of the information technology in various sectors, as well practically learn software application Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. | |

| Course learning outcomes are: knowledge of information technology areas, as well as about software and hardware; the skills to use applications for large-scale processing of documents, trial data processing, as well as prepare various types of presentation materials; competence independently access, select and analyze information and use a particular task. | |
