Course abstract
The aim of the study course is to develop a final thesis - a diploma project. The diploma project is a knowledge test in which the student demonstrates the ability to gather information, analyze, model, evaluate the effectiveness of the developed project, justify and defend their proposals and ideas in an open discussion.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. Is able to critically understand the essence and content of geoinformatics and remote sensing and understand their application - defense of a diploma project
2. Is able to independently and analytically perform geoinformatics and remote sensing activities at different levels of execution - defense of a diploma project. 3. Knows how to evaluate the problems of geoinformatics and remote sensing, eliminate shortcomings and develop geospatial solutions based on knowledge of agriculture, forestry, transport logistics, land spatial administration and spatial organization of crisis management - defense of a diploma project
Course Content(Calendar)
Full-time studies:
1. Choice of diploma project topic.
2. Preparation of diploma project work plan.
3. Approval of the topic of the diploma project.
4. Preparation of a calendar plan for the development of a diploma project.
5. Identification of the materials necessary for the development of the diploma project
6. Collection and research of special literature.
7. Development of diploma project content.
8. Elaboration of the theoretical part, justification of the choice of the topic. Development of an analytical literature review or research.
9. Work on the practical and graphic part.
10. Interim report of the diploma project
11. Evaluation of results and development of conclusions.
12. Diploma project design.
13. Pre-defense of the diploma project.
14. Preparation and submission of a diploma project for plagiarism control, review and defense.
15. Poster preparation.
16. Defense of the diploma project at the State Examination Commission.

Part-time studies: All topics specified for full-time studies are implemented, but the number of contact hours is 1/2 of the specified number of hours
Requirements for awarding credit points
The exam consists of:
• A report is provided in the interim reports of the diploma project
• a report was given in the pre-defense of the diploma project
• defended diploma project at the State Examination Commission
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Studies of scientific and study literature (monographs, scientific articles and their collections, conference and seminar materials, specialized scientific periodicals) related to the topic of the diploma project.
Independent works related to the topic of the diploma project:
1. Choice of diploma project topic.
2. Preparation of diploma project work plan.
3. Preparation of a calendar plan for the development of a diploma project.
4. Identification of the materials necessary for the development of the diploma project
5. Collection and research of special literature.
6. Development of diploma project content.
7. Elaboration of the theoretical part, justification of the choice of the topic. Development of an analytical literature review or research.
8. Work on the practical and graphic part.
9. Evaluation of results and development of conclusions.
10. Diploma project design.
11. Preparation and submission of a diploma project for plagiarism control, review and defense. 12. Poster preparation.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
1. According to the report Pre-defense of the Diploma Project, the student's work on the Diploma Project is evaluated in accordance with the submitted Diploma Project development calendar.
2. After the report in the 3rd pre-defense of the Diploma Project, a decision is made at the meeting of the Department on the compliance of the Diploma Project with the specified requirements and promotion for defense.
3. The defense of the diploma project takes place at the State Examination Commission, which is approved by the order of the Rector.
