Course abstract
The aim of the study course is to establish understanding of basic designing principles of a single-family residential house by solving spatial organisation, scale composition, functional and ecological problems resulting in an expressive architectural object suitable for local nature and climate conditions.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge: on designing principles of a single-family residential house, development of building design plans, the use of obtained materials in architectural designing.
• Skills: to have spatial thinking, develop construction projects, develop the general part of a construction plan and explanatory texts correctly. • Competence: students are able to identify the most suitable designing principles and design building plans for a single-family residential house according to technical requirements.
