Course abstract

The study course provides knowledge about the newest tendencies in forestry science and the management of enterprises in the forest sector. Obtained knowledge gives opportunity for student to understand the development of modern forestry, bioenergy and wood processing. The study course helps to understand in depth formation of forest resource utilization balance and explains role of forest sector in country economics.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completing the course student will have:
• Knowledge about the newest tendencies in the management of enterprises in the forest sector.
• Skills to define their own viewpoint concerning the development of forest sector.
• Competence to analyze processes in the forest sector.

All practical assignments, successfully written test (50% of the total grade) and successfully passed the exam (50% of the total grade) must be fully developed.
