Students are introduced to the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Tekla Structures for structural design.
Students are able to create model in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Tekla Structures – laboratory tasks, course project.
1. Introduction, 1 hour.
2. Tekla Structures, 12 hours:
2.1. Getting started with Tekla Structures;
2.2. Working with grids;
2.3. Creating foundations;
2.4. Creating concrete columns;
2.5. Creating concrete beams;
2.6. Creating concrete slabs;
2.7. Creating steel structures;
2.8. Creating steel connections;
2.9. Managing model information;
2.10. Creating drawings.
3. Preparation of course projects (independent work by students), 24 hours.
4. Presentation of independently made course projects, 3 hours.
Independently made course test presented.
Course test:
Tekla Structures – model according to course test assignment and the amount of laboratory tasks.
The course test is scored by points. At least 4 points must be earned to receive a positive grade.
