Course abstract

The evolution of the concept, tactics, strategy and implementation of (IPM) into practice. Biology of pests and pathogens, natural regulation mechanisms and critical thresholds. Optimal choose of all crop protection methods, to observe the ecological, environment safety and economical demands. Monitoring of pests and decision support models.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Acquired knowledge reflects the master-depth understanding of the nature of integrated pest management and use of the opportunities that are based on chemical and biological plant protection product action spectrum and physiological mechanisms. Graduates will be able to apply theoretical knowledge in plant protection products in the choice of economic and ecological conditions, appropriate, scientifically approved methodology selection trials and data analysis.
Acquired skills will pursue independent research, in-depth analysis of scientific literature on the topic of research, public discussion of research topics, prepare presentations independently and professionally defend them.
