Course abstract

The aim of the study course is to acquire knowledge on the newest technical and technological solutions in animal feed preparation and distribution to farm animals, including analysis of animal feed storages and calculation of the necessary capacity, machinery used for loading and unloading of animal feed, preparation of feed for feeding: cleaning from admixtures, chopping for preparation of mixture, compacting as well as solutions of animal feed distribution.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge - on the newest animal feed preparation and distribution technology and machinery.
• Skills – to assemble and design animal feed preparation and distribution technological lines.
• Competence - to acquire knowledge and skills that are necessary for an engineer concerned with development of animal product production technology and mechanization.
