Course abstract

The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the working environment and work object of agricultural machinery: soil, stalked, liquid, pouring, absorbent, biologically active, chemically aggressive materials; technologies of agricultural operations: regimes, energetic and costs; conditioning and storing of plant production; constructions of machinery: agritechnical requirements, technological parameters, technological and kinematic scheme.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: of technical crop harvesting machines as a tool for the implementation of a complex process, to orientate in the offer of technical crop harvesting machines, technologies and applicable machines and equipment.
Skills: to evaluate the work to be performed with technical crop harvesting machines, to choose the technological and technical solutions for the operation of the applied equipment. 2 laboratory works, report and work defense are planned. Tests.

Competence: to competently know the issues of technical crop harvesting machines, independently choose appropriate technologies and equipment for their implementation, as well as manage work with appropriate equipment. 1 laboratory work, report and defense of the work is planned. Test.

1. Technological properties of potatoes, potato harvesting machines, potato sorting and storage - 4h. Test. Potato harvesting machines.
2. Vegetables as an object of harvesting, vegetable harvesting machines - 4h. Test. Vegetable harvesting machines.
3. Flax and hemp harvesting machines - 4h. Test. Flax and hemp harvesting machinery.

4. Fruit and berry harvesting machines - 4h.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Test. All laboratory works have been worked out and defended, tests have been successfully written.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Preparation for tests using the literature indicated in the study program and consulting with the lecturer of the study course.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The credit of the study course depends on the successful evaluation of the study course tests.
