Subject discusses the verification of structures, which are replaced by models. Types of modelling, based on principles of similarity theory are given. Geometric and physical similarity for mechanical modelling. General conditions for similarities. Examples using models of structures. MS Excel, AutoCAD, MathCAD programmes are used preparing for further work with BIM software.
Knowledges about principles of modelling, conditions and practical application; skills to use the knowledges for organizing and managing of experiments; competences to define the task, to process the data of research and evaluate the acquired results. Assessment is given on the basis of indiviual work presentation and competent conversation about theme.
