Course abstract

Goal of the course is to elaborate assembly design of industrial building. The design documentation consist of written project manual and graphical drawings. Written project manual includes: specification lists of parts in assembly and lifting equipment, construction work organization – timetable/ scheduling; calculations of manpower, temporary buildings, consumables and technical resourses, project technical – economical costs; assembly quality and labour protection assessment. Graphical drawings: detailed technological schemas of assembly works, construction site plan.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

The student is able to apply the knowledge acquired within the study course:
• development of a general plan of construction works and technological maps of assembly works, determining the elements to be assembled and their volumes, selecting gripping equipment, assembly work technology and construction methods, work tasks and their sequence, calculating time and material resources, including energy resources.
• by developing detailed general plans and technological maps of construction works, selecting the most appropriate technology and method of execution of works, calculate and compile resource schedules.
• development and comparison of alternative solutions, designing general construction plans and technological maps, application of efficient construction technologies and methods, rational planning and use of resources, determination of technological sequence of construction works, observing requirements for spatial stability, building regulations and other technical requirements.
