Course abstract

Master's Thesis is a research work of a scientific nature, which testifies theoretical and practical preparedness of a Master's student to perform career counsellor’s duties in various institutions and enterprises according to the requirements of the profession standard. The author of the Master's Thesis should carry out a research on the current scientific and practical problem of career counselling.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - in-depth, structured and analytical knowledge at the level of understanding and use in the field of career guidance and counselling, according to the chosen research problem and its specificity.
Skills - is able to summarize, systematize, critically evaluate bibliographic sources, choose and use appropriate research methods. The student is able to analyze and synthesize the information obtained in the research, as well as to develop reasonable conclusions and real proposals; is able to test the results of the research.
Competences - a set of academic, systematic, analytical and instrumental competences that result in the ability to deliver a real creative and innovative contribution to the analysis and evaluation of complex and dynamic career development processes. The ability to forcefully and convincingly to present and defend the results of the study.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Realization of research (experiment, etc.).
2. Evaluation of research results.
3. Developing conclusions and recommendations.
4. Preparation and coordination of Master Thesis draft with the supervisor.
5. Consultation on draft compliance with Institute requirements.
6. Completion of Master's Thesis.
7. Pre-defence.
8. Correction and delivery of the content and drawing -up of the Master's Thesis to reviewers.
9. Preparation of documentation for defence.
10. Preparation of defence speech and presentation.
11. Defending.

Requirements for awarding credit points

•The student reports to his / her supervisor on the work done during the semester.
•Test according to the requirements of Master's thesis in semester. •Completion of Master's thesis research and referral to reviewers and state examination commission.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

•Students work independently at the Master’s Thesis completes the design and execution to according with the requirements of Master's Thesis.
•Preparation of Master's Thesis for pre-defence and defence.
•Compliance with all necessary requirements for document preparation and submission before defence.
•Defending of Master Thesis.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Rating: test without a grade.
Tests in full-time studies in the 4th semester (12 ECT).
Supervisor' feedback with suggestion for defence.
Two reviews.
Defended Master's Thesis on the State Examination Commission.
