Course abstract

The study course introduces students to various textile material coloring technologies, including tie-dyeing, screen printing, block printing, linocut, bleaching, cyanotype, silk painting, and digital printing technologies in theoretical classes/excursions. It provides knowledge about the execution of specific coloring technologies, the interaction and finishing of fabrics and colors, the use of different materials, and aspects of ensuring the coloring process. The course characterizes the peculiarities of the mentioned printing technologies and their solutions in the context of design. It familiarizes students with the possibilities of product recycling. Special attention is given to the growth of students' creative activities, understanding the adaptation of innovative solutions in product development, and delves into product promotion in the market, including market research and digital marketing opportunities. Within the course, acquired skills must be applied in composition, digital image processing, and photo and video skills.
