MākZ1004, Composition and Colour Studies I
MākZB001, Form Design
MākZ2016 [GMAK2016] Composition and Colour Studies II
Composition and Colour Studies-II includes a variety of colours and materials. Teaches the classification of colours, their meaning, practical application/coordination/interactions in light-dark, warm-cool, contrast-harmony hues in psycho-emotional and physiological effects in the development of visual solutions of various types/character/function in surface materiality in plane, volume and spatial environment.
According to the chosen technology direction (textile technologies/wood, metal processing technologies), the material-technical, psycho-emotional, physical, aesthetic characteristics of colors are deepened, as well as improve, enrich the sense of color/shape in practical materiality - according to the design idea/task, technical, visual, aesthetic criteria quality , based on functional, reusable, ergonomic, ecological, nature/environmental sustainability design solutions/elements/objects, subject environment, perfects basic values - the empathy ability of one's personality psychology, design ethics, emotional intelligence, effective communication skills/abilities, organizational skills, design in the development of visual solutions, according to the conceptual, visual and practical realization of design ideas in colors.
Knowledge – theoretically knows and understands the basic principles of composition representation, colour division, solutions and application possibilities: representation of design ideas/task colours, terrain, volume, their mutual compositional, conceptual, colour, visual solutions relationships – theory test.
Skills - work creatively and independently in colour variations and forms of expression in plane and volume, relief, surface materiality (colour study, colour transitions, colour matching, sketches, etc.) - practical works.
Competence - independently uses the compositional knowledge/skills of colour combinations, practically implements dark-light, warm-cool, harmony-contrast colour solutions; creates a colour study, according to the design idea and work tasks, applies design thinking possibilities, possible reproduction materials: able to think and act creatively, independently, compositionally; to analyze and evaluate the technical, aesthetic quality and function of the work, reasoned reasoning, listen and evaluate the other and respect the other's opinion; able to apply IT knowledge and skills in the development of composition works and presentations - independent homework.
The evaluation includes - the developed compositional, conceptual, visual colour solutions - colour compositions, object samples, etc. works in plane and volume, according to the design idea and work tasks. In visualizations and practical/creative works, one develops/improves understanding of colour matching for design ideas/thematic topicalities, development of practical materiality of design solutions of collections/series - in functional, material technical, aesthetic, reused, ergonomic, ecological, natural/environmental sustainability expression solutions/ways.
