Course abstract

The subject of the Master Thesis is chosen depending on the direction of specialization and the theme of investigations. The aim of course: to start literature studies; to choose methods of research, to prepare plan of research.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Students obtain the knowledge pertaining to the topic of the Master Thesis and acquire advanced skills to be able to work with scientific literature. Students can analyse and summarize the literature and choose adequate methods of investigations. The prepared paper should present an idea about the preparation of the Master Thesis.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Selection of the Master Thesis theme and supervisor, the identification and definition of the topicality of the theme. 20 h
2. Formulation of the Master Thesis aim and tasks, preparation of the work’s plan. 20 h
3. Literature studies. 120 h

4. Elaboration of study methods. 80 h

Requirements for awarding credit points

A test without a grade. The independent work should be submitted and defended.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Preparation of the independent work, where task of Master Thesis, part of literature review and draft of methods’ description are included.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

A properly formatted independent work summarizing the already accomplished tasks of the Master Thesis according to the plan of investigations is submitted.
