Course abstract

Students acquire knowledge of hydraulic machinery – pumps, their use and operating experience. The Course deals with pumping water, sewage, agricultural land drying.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge basics on selection of pumps and designing pumping equipment. Technological solution of pumping equipment. Technological solution of pumping stations. Skills of hydraulic computations for selection of pumps, to be competent of tender its, select of pipelines, pipe fittings. To select corresponding accessories and fitment for flow regulation. Competence to make independent analysing or information about pumps, to evaluate selected pump, to justify it for request of environmental protections.
