Course abstract

The structure and execution of scientific work is discussed. The choice of experimental work methods and the preparation of a research plan and the choice and preparation of the research equipment (object) are part of the course.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge about planning research.
Skills to perform experimental and analytical investigations.
Competence to formulate research task and perform investigations.
The development of work methods and preparation of the resource base.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. The study of literature on the chosen topic of master’s thesis.
2. The hypothesis of scientific work and work methods.
3. The preparation of research plan for experimental (analytical) investigations.
4. The choice and preparation of research equipment (object).
5. Summary of results.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Passed a test on the study of literature, methodology and preparation of research equipment (object).

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The summary of literature on the topic of thesis.
The description of methodology.
The preparation of research equipment (object).

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The quality of the summary of literature on the topic of thesis, the description of work methods and the preparation of research equipment (object).
