The aim of the study course is to learn the modern real system of the state real estate cadastre defined by the Republic of Latvia, its goals and tasks. The program is focused on the comprehensive training of geoinformatics engineers at various levels in the State Land Service and local governments. The knowledge gained in the study process can be used in work in the State Land Service, other state institutions, local governments, private business, as well as in conducting research.
After the course the student will have:
• Knows the essence, content, necessity and use of real estate cadastre. - tests
• Is able to independently conduct research related to the acquisition, compilation and registration of real estate cadastre information and data – laboratory works
• Able to process and scientifically evaluate the results obtained – laboratory works
1. Introductory lecture. Cadastre place and role in real estate management (2h)
2. Real estate in the sense of cadastre (2h)
3. Cadastral objects: real estate objects, real estate and their types (2h)
4. Identifiers of cadastral objects (cadastral numbers and cadastral designations) (2h)
6. Data characterizing real estate objects: types of land use (2h)
7. Data characterizing real estate objects: encumbrances of real estate object (2h)
8. Data characterizing real estate objects: purposes of use of real estate, types of use of groups of buildings and premises (2h)
9. Real estate state cadastre information system (2h)

10. Registration and updating of text data in the Cadastre Information System (2h)
11. Registration and updating of spatial data in the Cadastre Information System (2h)

Laboratory works:
1. To find a land unit on the cadastral map on the portal www.kadastrs.lv and provide its description (2h)
2. To search for land property and provide its cadastral description in the text data of the portal www.kadastrs.lv To search for the property of buildings and to provide its cadastral description in the text data of the portal www.kadastrs.lv (4h)
3. On the portal www.kadastrs.lv to find the apartment property and provide its cadastral description (2h)
4. Land uses, their representation and compilation of land use explications (2h)
5. Recognition of encumbrances shown in the encumbrance plan and compilation of an encumbrance list (4 h)
6. Get acquainted with the cadastral data registration process SLS (2h)
7. Real estate market data (8h)
8. Data for real estate valuation, their analysis (8h)
The test consists of successful theoretical tests, laboratory work and independent work.
Within the framework of independent work, the student independently completes the development of laboratory work, the permanent work is developed in accordance with the teacher's instructions.
The course mark is formed from the assessment of tests, laboratory work and regular work.
