The study course introduces students to such textile material coloring technologies as tie-dyeing and screen printing and digital printing technologies in theoretical classes/excursions. It provides knowledge about the execution of specific coloring technologies, the interaction and finishing of fabrics and colors, the use of different materials, and aspects of ensuring the coloring process. The course characterizes the peculiarities of the mentioned printing technologies and their solutions in the context of design. It familiarizes students with the possibilities of product recycling. Special attention is given to the growth of students' creative activities, understanding the adaptation of innovative solutions in product development, and delves into product promotion in the market, including market research and digital marketing opportunities. Within the course, acquired skills must be applied in composition, digital image processing, and photo and video skills.
Theoretical knowledge of various colouring technology applications in the creation of design products – presentation. Knowledge and understanding of textile coloring technologies as tie-dyeing and screen printing and technologies, their theoretical aspects, technological methods, and diverse contemporary applications – final presentation and exhibition. Skills to analyse, compare, and evaluate the interaction between textile materials and coloring technologies. Skill to choose colors according to the material and technology. Skill to create practical artistic works from design to finished products, coloring textile materials according to finishing technologies. Skill to use various technologies according to the chosen composition and means of expression. Skill to assess possibilities for product recycling – laboratory work. Competence – ability to create creative, practical, and modern works. Ability to make decisions in the selection and implementation of textile coloring technologies. Ability to evaluate the development processes of one's own and others' creative works – independent creative projects.
