The purpose of the study course is to provide an insight into the basic issues of property, obligations, inheritance, and family law. To provide students with knowledge, skills, and competence in starting and planning a business. Students gain an understanding of the nature of entrepreneurship, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, innovative entrepreneurship, and financing of company operations. Understands the importance of risks in business. Acquires practical skills in business, its creation.
On completion of this course, students should be able to:
1. Understand the most important concepts in the fields of family and inheritance law - Test 1
2. Comprehend the basic concepts and categories of labour law, as well as labour law provisions - Test 2, discussions in classes.
3. Select relevant legal acts and find a solution to a problem - educational game
4. Independently identify civil law contracts, determine their subject matters and components, analyse the legal relations of the parties resulting from the contracts - independent work, practical assignments
5. Critically analyse situations, participate in the interpretation of legal provisions and the process of making a law, as well as independently identify obligations.
6. Critically analyse labour law situations, interpret, and come up with creative ideas on regulatory acts - group work.
7. Understands micro, small, and medium, innovative business, business environment, forms of commercial activity.
8. Has knowledge of company establishment, reorganization, liquidation - permanent and practical works; Test 3.
9. Knows how to prepare company foundation documents, assess business risks, and apply their management methods. Able to reasonably evaluate innovations, recommend solutions for the introduction of innovations in business, provide an evaluation of the company's economic activity - practical works.
10. Able to analyse and evaluate the operation of the company, explain the problems hindering development and give their own solutions - permanent and practical works; Test 4.

1. Concepts of legal provisions, the emergence, composition, classification, system and understanding thereof - 2 h
2. Family and inheritance law - 2 h
3. Spousal property relations, marriage contracts, division of marital property - 2 h

5. Concept of ownership. Property objects. Intellectual property. Ownership as a right of power over a property. Restrictions on ownership rights. Restrictions that apply to property in its entirety. Pre-emption right. Restrictions on the right to alienate property. Restrictions on the right to use property - 4 h
6. Legal transaction. The concept of a contract, the types, and the procedure of concluding a contract, the lack of will to conclude a transaction - 2 h
7. Kinds of civil contracts (gift, purchase, maintenance, lease, rental etc.) – 2 h
8. Labour law. Termination by the employer. The procedure for terminating an employment contract – 4 h
9. Test 2 – 1 h
10. Nature and basic concepts of entrepreneurship (commercial activity) – 1 h
11. Business environment and aspects of its variability – 2 h
12. Micro, small, and medium business – 2 h
13. Legal forms of commercial activity and factors characterizing their choice, establishment – 4 h
14. Entrepreneurship of innovations, digital transformation – 4 h
15. Risk factor in business, solutions – 3 h
16. Generation, evaluation, definition, and development of business ideas – 3 h
17. Business planning, business plan - 5 h
18. Test 3 – 2 h
19. Wage payment platform and organization of wages - 2 h
20. Life cycle, investments, and importance of the company – 3 h
21. Financial sources of the company - 2 h
22. Evaluation of the company's economic activity – 2 h
23. Company reorganization process, insolvency solutions – 1 h

Part-time extramural studies:
All the topics intended for full-time studies are covered, yet the number of contact hours is ½ of the specified number of hours.
The assessment of the study course consists of 2 parts:
Part 1. Fundamentals of Law – 10 lectures and 10 practical assignments make up 50%. The assessment is obtained by completing practical assignments, successfully writing 2 tests and an exam.
Part 2. Entrepreneurship – 18 lectures and 18 practical assignments make up 50%. The assessment is obtained by completing 11 practical assignments, successfully writing 2 tests and an exam.
Students study additional materials, prepare and complete practical assignments, prepare for tests and an exam.
The assessment of the study course is formed by successfully passing parts 1 and 2 of the study course.
