Course abstract

After studying the course, the student will have an understanding of the main documents and procedures of fire safety regulations, as well as the basic principles of fire safety in buildings. Knowledge: during the course, students learn the principles of using fire protection systems in buildings, and the basic requirements of fire safety regulations. Skills: after listening to the course, students will know the basic principles of building fire safety. You will be able to use your knowledge in practical work.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After listening to the course, students will be competent to draw up the necessary fire safety documents and manage the maintenance of the fire safety system in the company.

In full-time face-to-face studies:
1. Combustion process, necessary conditions (1)
2. Passive fire protection in buildings. (4)
3. Building fire protection systems (4)
4. Fire hazard of heating devices (2)
5. Fire hazard of electrical installations (2)
6. Evacuation strategy (2)
7. Fire protection of historical buildings (1)
8. Main requirements of fire safety regulations (8)
In part-time correspondence studies: All topics indicated for full-time attendance are implemented, but the number of contact hours is 1/2 of the number of hours indicated. Recommendation: Part-time students attend full-time studies.
