Course abstract

The aim is to strengthen and supplement the knowledge acquired in higher education on environmental and water management issues during training practice, familiarity with the organisational side of environmental issues in production companies. In practice, materials for developing a diploma project are collected according to the theme of the diploma project and the company profile.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After successful completion of this course, student:
• Have knowledge of the theoretical and practical issues of environmental protection and water management;
• be able to meet the needs of the sector, including assessment and analysis of the quality of the environment and the state of the waters, as well as planning, development and execution of environmental and water management projects, buildings, technologies.

• is able to constantly address project solutions related to the diploma project. (Practice report)

1 practical work in place of practice. Familiarity with environmental problems and solutions at the workplace. (40 h)
2. Practical work in place of practice, according to an individual plan. (720 h)

3. Practical work in place of practice. Preparing a practice report. (40 h)

Defended report

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

1. The student must complete all practice tasks, prepare and submit a practice report.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

1. Completed practice tasks 60 points
2. Prepared and defended practice report 40 points
The final assessment according to the total amount of points received during the semester:
• less than 50 points – 3 (unsatisfactory);
• 50...54 points - 4 (almost satisfactory);
• 55...59 points - 5 (satisfactory);
• 60...69 points - 6 (almost good);
• 70...79 points - 7 (good);
• 80...89 points - 8 (very good);
• 90...95 points - 9 (excellent);

• 96...100 points - 10 (with distintion).
