Course abstract

Preparation and defense of Master's thesis.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - to define topicality of the research field, to choose research methods - defended Master's thesis;
Skills - to identify the causes of food safety risk, interpret the results of the research - defended Master's thesis;
Competence – to organize research in areas related to food hygiene and safety - defended Master's thesis.

preparation for defense;
review and defense of master's thesis.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Defense of Master's thesis.
MEK assessment - award a professional master's degree in food hygiene.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Studies of scientific literature and realizing, formating of the research work.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Pre-defense of the Master's thesis takes place at the extended meeting of the Institute of Food and Environmental Hygiene of the Faculty of Veterinary medicine.
Master's thesis defense is admitted if the votes of the lecturers present at the meeting are positive.
The Master's thesis must be elaborated in time, in accordance with the requirements and examined by the pre-defense commission.
Master's thesis must be submitted to the VMF and defended at the Master's Examination Commission (MEK). The MEK, taking into account the defense of the thesis and info from the two reviewers, evaluates the Master's thesis (positively with a test) and decides on the award of the Master's degree.
