Course abstract

In the course students will get theoretical knowledge, practical skills and understanding about business planning. Main thematic: essential and necessary of business planning, planning significance, directions, systems, levels, role of planner, kinds of plans and planning, basic principles and methods. Goods (and service) sale and prices, production process , rational utilization planning.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge – on the nature of planning and its specifics as well as methodology. Students know the types of plans, priorities, systems, and levels of planning, as well as the principles of planning. Students get an understanding of the decision-making process and the role of planner in it. Students gain extended knowledge on goals and tasks and the main functions in elaborating a business plan as well as the pace of working it out.
• Skills – students are able to employ planning methods in working out various plans. Students can define goals of an enterprise (organisation). They can find and assess necessary information for planning. Students comprehend and are able to manage the decision-making process and to work out as well as assess a business plan.
• Competence – students can elaborate plans of various types and levels, including a business plan, and present them. Students have an understanding of a quality plan. They can find, obtain, assess, and process necessary information.
