Course abstract

Latvian building a planning system that covers all levels of public administration. These systems knowledge is important for any administration worker, as characterized by the decision-making process involving a wide range of institutions. During the course, students learn the skills of policy planning in general and sectoral and cross-sectoral and regional development perspective.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• knowledge about the central agency Component counters, implementation and evaluation of regulatory documents and procedures for the development of Latvia policy planning, policy -making;
• skills - Understand the processes taking place in society and make decisions according to changing situations; Offer solutions to assess their impact on the state and development of the industry , understand the public policy processes and to be able to assess their impact on the development of the industry , a good knowledge of the existing public administration decision-making system, the allocation of responsibilities and reporting procedures ; Apply theoretical and practical knowledge in their work units and the effective management ;
• competence - Develop an industrial policy to develop appropriate policy regulatory documents , coordinate the implementation of these policies , participate in new industries and municipalities of concepts, strategies and development programs and the developmen
