Course abstract
Non-profit sector is a characteristic element of civic society. The emergence and growing of NPS in Latvia and the world. Main fields of activity at the beginning of XXI century. The structure of NPS. Mutual collaboration of nonprofit sector organizations and its partnership with state institutions and local municipalities. International units. Future prospects of non-profit sector.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Awareness of NPS significance, main directions of activity and development level in different countries. Skills: to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of NPS in Latvia on the basis of common situation in NPS in the world. Competence - basic knowledge and skills to operate in the non-profit sector.
