Course abstract

Students develop a course paper on the defecting, repair and renewal of a specific vehicle unit or body part. In the work, students demonstrate their abilities and knowledge by describing the technological process of defect and repair, as well as including a description of the devices and equipment used in the repair process. Provides a description of painting preparation, color selection and painting technology.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge of techniques for preventing failures of vehicles and their units, repair options and equipment and materials used in the refurbishment process;
• Skills to determine the most effective techniques and means for restoring the performance of vehicles and their units;
• Competence to constantly determine the refusals of vehicles and to choose the method of renewal, as well as to choose the appropriate equipment and tools for these works.
The knowledge and skills acquired in the course will be evaluated according to the quality of the developed course work.

Requirements for awarding credit points

The descriptive and graphic part of the course work must be developed and completed.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The student chooses the topic of the course work and the content of the graphic part independently and coordinates it with the lecturer.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The course work is evaluated according to the completeness and quality of its development. The content of the descriptive part, the quality of the development of the graphic part, the observance of the requirements for the design of term papers are taken into consideration.
