Course abstract

Students acquire enlarged knowledge about agricultural production and providing of transport with technical devices, benches and technological service. They acquire insight about market of spare parts and exploitation materials. Acquire enlarged insight in trends of market of new and used machinery.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: the student acquires knowledge about the peculiarities of the technical market, product structure and the contingent of buyers. Gains knowledge about the work of equipment distributors - dealers, the layout of sales outlets and customer service. 2 tests.
Skills: the student is able to evaluate the company's services, choose the most acceptable manufacturer and dealer company. Able to participate in the preparation of machine purchase and sale documents - practical work.
Competence: is able to independently orientate in technical offers, technical documentation and advertising materials. Able to critically evaluate the products of equipment distributors and the quality of technical service offered. (Independent work - report and presentation PowerPoint).

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Preparation of a report on an individually selected topic and creation of a presentation.
Preparation for tests and practical work.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

1. A student obtains a successful mark in tests if answers to at least 50% of the questions are given.
2. Timely developed and defended practical works.
3. Presentation of the prepared report (assessment with a mark).
4. Final assessment - the accumulative test with a mark consists of: 2 successfully written tests, assessment of the report and passed practical works.
