Course abstract

In study course components of motor vehicle transmission, classification of them, motion system, construction of wheels and classification of the is discussed. Students get acquaint with steering and brake systems. View in classification and constructions of tractors is given. Descriptive parameters of tractors. Hydrosystems and accoutrements of tractors. Crop farming machines, construction.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Student characterize operation peculiarities of transmission of ground motor vehicles, to have a goon knowledge in characteristic parameters of tractors and in accordance with exploitation conditions to choose appropriate tractor, to choose for every specific place and specific culture suitable crop-farming machine.
Test 1 - Structure and operation of transmission.
Test 2 - Tractor engineering structure.
Test 3 - Construction of agricultural machines.

1 Driving axles, main transmissions, differential, driving side, their construction, division.
2 Running equipment task, breakdown.
3 Wheel design, tasks. Driving angle for front and rear vehicles.
4 Steering gear function, breakdown, steering gear.
5 Steering equipment with amplifier, classification, task. Hydraulic amplifiers, electrical amplifiers.
6 Brake system, task, breakdown. Types of braking mechanisms, operating principles.
7 The structural construction of the pneumatic brake multi-circuit brakes, operating principle.
8 Hydraulic ABS system, task, breakdown, operating principle.
9 Tractor development history. Classification and construction of tractors. Tractor characteristics.
10 Tractor Transmission. Wheeled axle axles, side-cars, PTO shafts.
11 Tractor steering, brake and running equipment. Spacecraft hydraulic system and climbing equipment.
12 Introduction to the theory of cars, the drive traction dynamics and power balance.
13 Working environment of crop machinery: soil, meteorological conditions and time factor.
14 Techniques for turning and inverting the soil.
15 Distribution machines. Forage machines. Grain combines.
16 Potato, Flax and Vegetable Harvesting Machines.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Written exam.
Independent and laboratory work has been developed and defended.
Tests are successfully written.

Analysis of laboratory works.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Knowledge in the construction of vehicles, terminology. The exam grade is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the two exam assignments and the mean valuation of the tests.
