Course abstract

In study course view of classification and construction of motor vehicle, engines, its' constructions and operation is given. Mechanisms and systems of internal combustion engine as well as mechanical and electronically regulation of engine, types of transmissions, its’ tasks, classification and assembly as clutch, gearbox, transfer box, differential, main transmission is discussed.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: in individualities of constructions of ground motor vehicles and operation principles of their elements.
Skills: acquired knowledge gives possibilities to assess technical condition of engine and ground motor vehicle; to make valuable maintenance of ground motor vehicle to perform economical transportation and agrotechnical tasks. Competence: acquired knowledge gives possibility to analyse engineering solutions of ground motor vehicles; constantly develop technical tasks to provide fail-save operation of ground motor vehicles.
Test 1 — Construction and operation of motor vehicles.
Test 2 — Performance of a major transmission.
Is able to independently determine the technical condition of the structural elements of the vehicles - laboratory works.
