Course abstract

Psychology of transport – psychology of drivers job – peoples behaviour on the road. Concept of drivers psychophysiology. Personality of driver and its role in professional activities. Perception and forecasting of road traffic situation. Peculiarities of car driving under difficult road conditions. Highly skilled driving and improvement of driving skills.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge -in driver’s psychology, road traffic regulations, basic principles of safe automobile driving and driving in complicated road conditions
Skills – to analyse issues of vehicle transport safety, to apply the acquired knowledge in practical organization of roads, to evaluate the road condition in accordance to traffic safety and drive safely
Competence – in perception and prognosticating of road traffic situations, improvement of driving skills and analysing of people’s behavior in complicated road situations
