Course abstract

Course of study contributes to knowledge acquisition and promotes its practical usage for working out methodology for particular topics. During the course students study more detail in the national education standard in visual art; the realization of the necessary methodological and technical support, recommended methodological materials and teaching aids. Exercises, tests and handouts are prepared. Students work out full methodology for one lessons of visual art.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

•Knowledges- to comprehend, analyse and assess theories and conceptions on methodology of Visual Art and their application in practice; on the preparation of classes, teaching methods, the assessment of pupils’ creative work.
•skills– to analyze and evaluate the theories of methodology and to choose the most appropriate of them for the study process in Visual Art; to evaluate and apply the most appropriate teaching methods, assessment forms, visual aids and textbooks.
•competence– able to know the standards of the Visual Art subject, to develop and evaluate the themes of Visual Art; able to prepare the thematic plan for a study-year, as well as the calendar plan; able to plan and run the classes of Visual Art; able to develop visual aids and theoretical materials, and tests.
Evaluates the understanding of the theory of visual art methodology and its use in practice, the annual thematic plan; Thematic and calendar plans, scheduled and prepared visual art lessons; prepared visual materials and tests. Knowledge, skills and competences are reflected in the theoretical and practical part of the course paper.

2. Methodological and technical support for the implementation of visual arts education.
3. Lesson plans and exercises in visual art.
4. Techniques of Visual Art.
5. Goals and Tasks. of Visual Arts Lessons.
6. Pupils' Cognitive Independence and Activation Techniques.
7. Thematic and time planning for the year in the visual arts.
8. Schedule the timeline of the selected topic.
9. A list of required visuals and handouts for a selected topic.
10. Material-technical provision for the sub-subject - one lesson in visual art.
11. Specific lessons learned for 1 lesson.
12. Description of self-control and control measures for the selected subtopic acquisition.
13. Preparation of visual aids in visual art.
14. Preparation of exercises, tests and inspection work
15.Evaluation criteria for exercises, tests and tests.
16. Course paper presentation.
Practical work:
In the course work, a visual, methodological material on the chosen topic should be developed. Knows the theory of visual art methodology, is able to apply it. Is competent to use knowledge and skills in professional activity.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Attended an introductory lesson and a counseling session. A description of the course paper with accompanying visual materials in visual art. Prepared presentation of course paper in MS PowerPoint and course paper defended in front of the group.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The course work is carried out independently, in accordance with the teaching standard and guidelines of the visual arts subject, the terms of reference and methodological instructions. The thesis reflects knowledge, skills and competences.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

1. Compliance with the educational standard and guidelines of the visual arts subject;
2. Compliance with terms of reference and instructions;
3. Compliance of the timeline development with the chosen topic;
4. Conformity of visual materials to the chosen theme.
5.Presentation quality.
