Master's Thesis is a research work of a scientific nature, which testifies theoretical and practical preparedness of a Master's student to perform career counsellor’s duties in various institutions and enterprises in accordance with the requirements of the profession standard. The author of the Master's Thesis should conduct a research on the current scientific or practical problem of career counselling.
Knowledge - in-depth, structured and analytical knowledge at the level of understanding and use in the field of career guidance and counselling, according to the chosen research problem and its specificity.
Skills - is able to summarize, systematize, critically evaluate bibliographic sources, choose and use appropriate research methods. The student is able to analyze and synthesize, as well as to develop valid conclusions and real proposals. Able to approbate the results of the study.
Competences - a set of academic, systematic, analytical and instrumental competences that result in the ability to deliver a real creative and innovative contribution to the analysis and evaluation of complex and dynamic career development processes. The ability to forcefully and convincingly to present and defend the results of the study.
1. Empirical and / or experimental research: identification, assessment and selection of research methods and research data processing techniques.
2. Identification of similar career guidance studies (Master's thesis, etc.).
3. Pilot studies.
4. Development of career guidance methodology. Expert judgment on methodology.
5. Correction of methodology and coordination with the supervisor.
6. Performance of research (experiment, etc.)
7. Data processing: compilation, selection of images, mathematical processing, analysis. Evaluation of research results.
Development of methodology and initiation of approbation.
The student reports to the supervisor on the work done during the semester.
Test according to the requirements of Master's thesis in semester.
• The student continues to independently study various bibliographic sources and practice in career counselling.
• Based on the acquired theoretical information and practical experience, students develop career guidance methodology agreed by the supervisor.
• The student starts the research (experiment, etc.): develops an expert questionnaire, selects the experts who evaluate the developed methodology; corrects the methodology; initiates approbation of methodology; collect and analyze research data.
Successful work results in a test of 6 ECT.
Report of independently performed works and coordination with the supervisor.
Full-time test in the 3rd semester (6 ECT).
Rating: Test without a mark.
