Master's Thesis is a research work of a scientific nature, which testifies theoretical and practical preparedness of a Master's student to perform career counsellor’s duties in various institutions and enterprises in accordance with the requirements of the profession standard. The author of the Master's Thesis should conduct a research on the current scientific or practical problem of career counselling.
Knowledge - in-depth, structured and analytical knowledge at the level of understanding and use in the field of career guidance and counselling, according to the chosen research problem and its specificity.
Skills - is able to summarize, systematize, critically evaluate bibliographic sources, choose and use appropriate research methods. The student is able to analyze and synthesize, as well as to develop valid conclusions and real proposals. Able to approbate the results of the study.
Competences - a set of academic, systematic, analytical and instrumental competences that result in the ability to deliver a real creative and innovative contribution to the analysis and evaluation of complex and dynamic career development processes. The ability to forcefully and convincingly to present and defend the results of the study.
1. Clarification of conceptions of Master's thesis and alignment with the supervisor.
2. Start of theoretical studies: search, collection, compilation and evaluation of information sources.
3. Identification, assessment, selection and description of used theories, theoretical approaches, models.
4. Preparation of the theoretical part.
Development of theoretical part of Master’s Thesis.
The student independently studies various bibliographic sources: scientific and methodological literature, as well as documents and guidelines of various levels related to the problem of research in the field of career guidance. The student develops the theoretical part of the master's Thesis based on the collected and studied information.
Successful work carried out resulting in a test (without grade) (4 ECT).
Assessment: Test without a grade. The student receives a positive assessment if the relevant tasks of the semester are fulfilled in the course of the Master's Thesis.
