The study course introduces the Education Structure of Latvia, types of the education institutions, their work and the regulatory documents. It forms a picture of the inner management principles and the role oh the manager in a modern and innovative school. It provides the knowledge about the core principles of the education projects functions and methods, forms an idea of a competitive project planning, management, operational aspects.
Knowledge: understand Education structure of Latvia, types of the education institutions, their work and the regulatory normative, legal acts, financial support; inner management principles of school and the role of the manager in it; understand project making logics, core principles of the educational project and, its functions and methods - Theory test.
Skills: planning, working and evaluation skills of one’s own pedagogic activity in relation to the school set goals, aims and the regalement of the educational institution; working out the basic concept of the project, assessment of the indicators that can be tested objectively - Practical works.
Competence: able to orientate in knowledge of modern and innovative educational institution management and evaluation and assessment principles, able to assess the manager’s personal and professional characteristics in relevance and role in a team; able to complete the logical framework matrix educational project, run educational project - Independent homeworks.

Requirements for passing the test:
1.Attendance classes.
2.Developed and defended practical work during the classes, which will be evaluated by the "pass / fail".
3. Presenting and defending the independent home works, estimated with a mark of 10 points in the system
4.Pass theory test, which is estimated with a mark of 10 points in the system.
1. Students take part and discuss at a seminar about one of the sources offered by the teaching staff on issues of education management.
2. The student prepares a presentation on one of the topics (in coordination with the academic staff):
a) Documents regulating education and school activities.
b) Education in the 21st Century. Concept of Latvian Education.
c) Functions and activities of the Pedagogical and Methodological Council in the school.
d) Development of education management in Latvia.
3. Prepared educational project.
At the end of the course, a 10-ball scale grade is planned.

1. Compliance of the developed work with the requirements.
2.Presentation skills.
3.Work organization skills – respect the deadlines.
