In the study course students scientifically justifies topical issues of lifelong and/or lifewide learning/education, continuous education, adult education, formal and non-formal education, professional/vocational education, further education and education for professional development and improvement in the context of nowadays educational environment. During the course students analyze issues related to the professional development of prospective and already existing specialists, promotion of their competitiveness in the labor market, career self-management, improvement of educational programs or development of new programs in connection with professional standards in trends in professional/vocational education and labor market. Students acquire knowledge, skills and competences in research activities, incl. the use of theoretical and empirical research methods.
Knowledge: knows modern education, incl. professional/vocational education, topical issues.
Skills: students can choose the topic of a course work according to their own competences and experience, assessing the topicality of a given topic, can set goals and implement them.
Competences: in the course work students are able to demonstrate their pedagogical skill (mastery), by reflecting on their own experience; is capable of independently developing and designing scientific (research) work/course paper according to requirements; is able to prove the media competence in the search, analysis, selection and evaluation of necessary information, is able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in practical work and improve it.
Assessment: Writing and public presentation of course paper.
Successfully fulfilled the requirements for independent work; the two parts of the examination were successfully passed: oral and written. Summarizing or cumulative assessment of the final exam.
Students know the course work requirements so that they can independently develop a course paper on their own chosen topic.
Individual consultations are available, incl. online counselling.
Respect of all the requirements of independent studies and research.
Timely work out and electronically submit of the course paper for evaluation (1 week before the examination).
Preparation of the presentation of the course paper.
Public speech and discussion during the examination.
