Course abstract

The aim of the bachelor theses is to apply the theoretical knowledge learnt in the program, whilst solving a hospitality industry problems. The bachelor theses demonstrated the student's ability to orient himself, select, process and analyse needed information accordingly the definated aim, tasks and methods of the theses, as well as, develop conclusions and suggestions based on his own research results.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• knowledge: an understanding of the entrepreneurial environment, market trends, customer behaviour, current economic development patterns and principles; knowledge of hospitality companies` products; knowledge of the corporate financial planning and supervision; as well as knowledge of technological processes in hospitality companies and influencing factors;
• skills: able be competent in current matter of hospitality industry;able to plan, analyze, assess the hotels and restaurants economic performance indicators;able to calculate financial indicators of hospitality companies and analyze those; able to develop a company's strategical and tactical plans according with entrepreneurial environment;
• competence: capable of identifying market trends and influencing factors; able to detect and analyze topical practical problems in the hospitality business; able to plan, analyze and evaluate the hotel and restaurant performance of technological processes and economical activity.
