Course abstract

Traineeship in woodprocessing, research or related sector companies under cotract of practical training. Acquiring of business organisation experiences and communication skills. Study of company operations and elaboration of proposals for business proces improvements. Carrying out of experimental work and gathering of primary data for diploma work.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledges to resolve subject and used diferent technique, develop communication skills and participation in team work. Evaluated in the content presentation of the paper and oral presentation, defending the work
Skills to identify and analyze current problems, conduct research, based on which decisions are formulated with the aim of increasing production and business efficiency. Evaluated in the printed paper.
Competence to explore, analyze problems, to take decisions economically feasible. valuated during the oral presentation of the paper.

Course Content(Calendar)

Execution of topics is performed as an individual job under the supervision of the supervisor.
1 Introductory briefing. Formation in practice. Introduction to company structure and production technology (4h)
2 Work in an internship company. Collection of input data, experimental works for diploma thesis development (60h)
3 Work in an internship company. Coordination of primary data with the supervisor of the diploma thesis (20h)
4 Work in an internship company. Production technology and resource analysis (60h)
5 Work in an internship company. Analysis of work organization in the company (40h)
6 Company business analysis (60h)
7 Development of proposals for business development in the company (40h)
8 Preparation and submission of practice report. Practice defense (36h)

Requirements for awarding credit points

The practice report must be developed in full, in accordance with the existing requirements of the LUA, defended and evaluated with a mark.
It is necessary to obtain a positive evaluation from the supervisor of the diploma thesis on experimental activities and data collection, as well as to write and present a practice report.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Each week, during the meeting with the supervisor make discussion regarding independent tasks and making plan for the next reporting period. Pre-defending a practice report presents the work done throughout the content of the thesis.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Graduation Report of practice consists of:
1.Written practice report 80% ;
2.Speeches and replies to the 20%.
