Course abstract

By finalizing this series of courses, students gain knowledge about different areas of industries related to industrial design, innovation leadership, materials and other topics.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge
Recognize, explain and understand meaning of innovation, different materials, methods of Finite element analysis, presentation materials, photography and publishing works (Test No.1. and No.2).
Skills
Select and attract services from related industries, as well as define needs (Test No.1. and No.2).
Competences
Independently lead the introduction of new products to the market (Test No.1. and No.2).

Requirements for awarding credit points

• Attendance – not less than 75%.
• Successfully filled all seminary reports.
• Grande in both tests.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Total amount of independent work: 168 h.
Within that seminaries and practical assignements – 60 h.
Independent literature studies – 108 h.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Test No. 1
Multiple answers test and questionaire regarding management of innovations, sustainability and enviromental protection legislations.
Test No. 2
Student, in coordance with service conditions chooses the material of an article of a product and conducts strenght analysis by means of Finite element anaylsis.
