Course abstract

Regulatory enactments governing the design of manufacturing buildings and technologies. Construction standards and building statements. Possibilities and solutions for the use of different materials in the construction of wood processing plants. Construction solutions for building elements. Special guidance on a separate chapter of the project projects, including the development of a graphic part. Data needed for design: characteristics of finished production, raw material characteristics, restrictive manufacturing and technology marketing conditions.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge:
For regulatory enactments regulating construction - discussion lessons, independent work, exam.
About key elements of manufacturing buildings - in discussion lessons, exam.
On the basic principles of design of production facilities - an exam in the discussion classes.
Skills:
Capable of performing plant technological calculations - in discussion lessons, exam.
Capable of developing a product-making technology project - in discussion lessons, exam.
Competency:
Ability to evaluate the compliance of wood processing companies projects and technology for producing products - in discussion lessons, exam.

2. Regulatory documents governing construction. (9 h practical jobs)
3. Composition and development methodology of the industrial enterprise project proposal. (3 h lectures, 3 h practical jobs)
4. Planning of technological equipment. (3 h)
5. Methodology for developing an enterprise site plan, space plan. (3 h)
6. Foundations and bases. (3 h)
7. Frame buildings. (3 h)
8. Walls and bulkheads. (3 h)
9. Floors and roofs. (3 h)
10. Windows, doors and stairs. (3 h)
11. Water supply and sewer. (3 h)
12. Household premises and auxiliary buildings. (3 h)
13. Construction materials. (3 h)

Requirements for awarding credit points

You must successfully pass the exam, defend your own work.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Establishment rules of certain administrative territory (Individual study and presentation).

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Independent work - 40%.
Exam - 60%.
