Course abstract

Woodworking machine tool applications. Safe methods of work with woodworking tools. Machine tool structure. Hand tools, planer chisel, drill, saw, planer skills. Electric hand tools, application diversity. Programmable machine tools. Applicable cutting machine tools. Machine tool setup, calibration. Finishing materials and equipment. Boards, furniture, cabinet furniture.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Get knowledge of the diversity of these technologies in woodworking, wood and a wood-based board materials handling, furniture fittings.
• Get the skills to work with woodworking machines and equipment, hand tools and power hand tools as well as automated design programs.
• Able to choose the appropriate machine tools, hand tools for manufacturing.
